"Research and science" seminar is held 20.11.2009 in General Consulate of Finland in Saint-Petersburg and dedicated to celebration of "Finland - 200 years in St. Petersburg". On the seminar Digital Design along with Finnish and Russian research and educational organizations presents results of collaboration with Finnish companies in terms of Innovativeness in a cross-border environment as well as other aspects of work with innovations and implementation of innovation process in the company.

"Research and science" seminar, organized by General Consulate of Finland in Saint-Petersburg within the official program of celebrating of 200 years Finland in Saint-Petersburg, is held in Consulate premises 20.11.2009 for representatives of real business and government sector as well and all interested in research of innovations and Finnish-Russian collaboration.

Seminar program consists of speeches and presentations about university collaboration between Finland and Russia, particularly between Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University (SpbSPU), and MITIM - cross-border business experts for enterprises in LUT School of Business and GSOM. Experts from Finland tell about Finnish innovation system and Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation - Tekes. Additionally examples of international research are provided both by Russian and Finnish specialists.

During seminar all participants can visit Exhibition, where Finnish-Russian Innovation University, Northern Dimension Institute, Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finnish-Russian Innovation Centre, Centre for Separation Technology, “An international scheme for cooperation in energy education and research” present their educational and research programs.

Digital Design gives examples of work with innovations in company during joint presentation with senior lecturer Maria Smirnova from School of Management, St. Petersburg State University, and Professor Tuomo Ka'ssi, LUT. Maria Smirnova presents results of research "Innovativeness in Russian Companies", conducted by SOM among Russian companies, including Digital Design.
